Newscenter 11 spoke to multiple adult residents in Clarkdale on Friday concerning the allegations against longtime softball coach Rick Roberson. Only one of those residents agreed to speak with us on-camera.
The resident, who asked not to be identified, said she was in shock and disbelief over the charges against Roberson. The resident said she has children that attend Clarkdale Attendance Center and that it will take time and prayer in order for the community to heal.
"I just want everyone to know that, remember that Coach Roberson has a family himself," she said. "I went to school with his daughters. So you know, this affects them too."
Newscenter 11 attempted to interview several Clarkdale residents for this story, but only one would agree to speak with us.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department says now that Roberson has bonded out of jail, his case will go before the next available grand jury.
