Meridian, Miss. Saturday in Highland Park, a large group was out honoring loved ones who have died.
This is the second annual "Rest in Peace" celebration. Organizers say this is an event that has grown tremendously just over the past couple of years. These families gather to celebrate the lives of those who are now gone.
"Tomorrow's not promised to nobody. We just want to show our love and support. We should all love each other and try to get along. A lot of these people got shot or ended up dying off," Sanquinetta Cole explains.
This group says it will continue this event next year. The group is inviting anyone who's lost a love one to come and join the celebration of life and family.
