Pritchett Sentenced to 55 Years

Frederick Pritchett was sentenced Wednesday for his role in a 2011 armed robbery and kidnapping.

Pritchett, 18, received 30 years for armed robbery, 15 years for kidnapping and 10 years for motor vehicle theft. The sentences will run consecutively for a total of 55 years in prison.

Pritchett was convicted by a jury of armed robbery and kidnapping of an employee from Cash King off Old Highway 45 North in October of last year.

"The armed robbery, he has to serve at least 10 years, and then the rest of that would be 85 percent. The kidnapping is a crime of violence, so that one would be 85 percent," said District Attorney Bilbo Mitchell. "The only one he would be eligible for substantial early release would be the motor vehicle theft."

Mitchell estimates Pritchett will serve at least 40 years before he is eligible for parole.
