The body of a 21-year-old black male was discovered shot around one o'clock Thursday morning. The discovery was made at 4100 Butts Road in Meridian. The man's body has been set to Jackson for an autopsy.
When deputies arrived to the scene they found Jonathan Williams dead with a gunshot wound to the head. The three people who were in the home when the shooting took place said a man kicked in the door and shot Williams. However, Lauderdale County Sheriff Billy Sollie says the evidence didn't add up.
Eventually the two witnesses to the shooting told authorities that Terrence White shot Williams while they were playing around with a gun. The weapon was found in woods across the street.
White has been charged with manslaughter. He's the only person to be charged in the case.
