A gunshot was fired into a Head Start center in Philadelphia Monday morning, but no one inside was hurt.
Police say Exhibit Hall Head Start was not the intended target.
Philadelphia police say they have a suspect, identified as Wilshaun McAfee, 31.
Police say around 8:30 a.m. Monday two individuals got into a heated argument that led to a car chase.
As they sped around the corner where the Head Start is located, one of the men pulled out a gun and began firing several shots at the other vehicle.
Two of the shots hit the vehicle, but one bullet missed and pierced a window at the center. Although there were people in the room, no one was injured. The school was shut down for a brief period of time.
"With the new procedures and everything, every school goes on lock-down when something like this happens," said chief investigator Fredesz Moore. "So they were in lock-down within a matter of three minutes. As soon as the call came out, we were en route there. "
Police say the man whose vehicle was shot quickly reported the crime.
McAfee is wanted for aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
If you have any information on McAfee's whereabouts, you're asked to call Philadelphia police at 601-656-2131.
