Sistrunk Set to Retire

The leader of the Philadelphia Police Department announced to the Board of Aldermen Tuesday night that he'll be retiring August 1st.

Chief Richard Sistrunk has 25 years of law enforcement experience, and since 1989 he's served with Philadelphia PD.

Sistrunk was appointed Chief on an interim basis in the fall of 2005, and then was selected for the position in February of 2006.

    Here we go Again. He interviewed 3 times for MPD. Enough said. Lets learn for history or we are doomed to repeat repeat repeat repeat.......sorry my mind got stuck.

    Just wonderin.....Did Meridians Mayor, Cheri Barry, ask for or demand his resignation while she was there for the Civil Rights conference?
