Jackson, Miss. WIN Job Centers in Philadelphia and Bay Springs will be closing.
Both will stop providing services June 21.
The Mississippi Department of Employment Security announced Thursday that twelve centers around the state are shutting down because all of their operating budget from the U. S. Department of Labor is being cut.
"These reductions in federal funds forced us to make some tough decisions," said Mississippi Department of Employment Security executive director Mark Henry. "We are working to ensure that MDES will continue helping
Mississippians find jobs and also meet the challenge of budget cuts."
People and employers in Jasper County may visit the Laurel and Forest WIN Job Centers. Services for Neshoba County residents will be served through the Carthage and Louisville centers.
Citizens may also call the MDES toll-free number at 888-844-3577 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or visit the MDES website. A link is provided below.
