It's rare to have sunny skies and highs in the 70's on a January day.
Though, this was the case in East Mississippi and West Alabama Saturday. Playgrounds across the area were full of children and their parents ready to get some sun. After a long, cold winter, it appeared many out enjoying the day had a case of spring fever.
"If I weren't out here with the kids, I would be fishing somewhere," said Stanley Cullum, of Meridian.
"Nothing is more important than family, and when you have a pretty day like this, why not come outside and enjoy it," said Doris Sanders.
It's a good thing people enjoyed the weather as the lovely conditions don't remain in the forecast.
