A house party that turned deadly has landed a west Alabama man behind bars.
50-year-old Willie Lockett is jailed in Sumter County for the stabbing death of 39-year-old Eric Newell.
Investigators say the incident happened around 10 o'clock Friday night after an argument at a house party in Gainesville. The argument involved the accused and his girlfriend.
At this time, Sheriff Johnny Hatter says it is too early to determine whether more arrests will be made. Meanwhile, a bond hearing for Lockett is expected to be held Monday.
