Meridian, Miss. The State Games of Mississippi is underway, and that means thousands of visitors are pouring into Meridian and surrounding areas.
The challenge is finding a place to stay. The State Games is the single biggest tourism event for the community year round.

"Traditionally, Meridian is sold out all the way from Forest to Laurel, Philadelphia and Livingston," said tourism director, Dede Mogollon. "And this year we have the added pressure of the construction going on at the Kemper County plant that's providing additional pressure on our occupancies. "
All the hotels are currently booked, but if you're still searching for a place to stay, don't lose hope yet. The tourism center has a brand new way to help.
