Meridian police say they charged a suspect in connection to a shooting about 4:50 a.m. Sunday.

Officials say officers responded to a call about shots being fired at a residence in the 1800 block of 18th Avenue.

Witnesses told police someone fired multiple rounds into a house and then ran away. No one was harmed in the shooting.

Police say they found the suspect hiding in a nearby residence.

21-year-old Keenan D. Chaney of Meridian was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling. Police say he was already out on bond for a previous felony charge that disqualified him from receiving a bond on this charge.
