The tobacco free coalition of Lauderdale and Newton counties had a message today for young people.
The organization stresses that tobacco use and breathing second-hand smoke are harmful and wants the young to steer clear of a powerful habit. It shared that word through a summer camp today at Meridian housing authority's Carousel Place.
Officials say it appears the young people attending the camp understand how tobacco use would impact their health. The camp was funded by a grant from the Mississippi Department of Health.
