Telephone Pioneers Continue Tradition

Meridian, Miss. It's that time of year again. If you are looking for a Christmas gift, the Telephone Pioneers have something cooked up to meet your need.

Bell's Best Cookbooks are on sale through Friday at 2301 7th Street in Meridian, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You may also pick up cookbooks with recipes from Louisiana, Alabama, and Texas.

"Our money goes back into the community with special projects," said Dorothy Wall. "Our main project this year has been Feed by Faith. We've also contributed to Relay for Life, the Veterans Home in Kosciusko. We take money, we take socks to them, because if it weren't for our veterans, we wouldn't have our freedoms."

The Telephone Pioneers conduct this fundraiser every year.

In addition to cookbooks, the telephone pioneers are also selling Rada knives.
