An adult and two male juveniles were nabbed early Tuesday, shortly after authorities say they burglarized several vehicles.
Authorities say a gun, credit cards and mail were taken in the burglaries.
Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun says a deputy was patrolling Highway 19 North and State Boulevard Extension about 12:45 when he heard gunshots.
The deputy pursued a vehicle he had seen and found the stolen items and burglary tools in that vehicle.
"We do believe additional charges will be filed against each of these individuals," said Calhoun. "We found several items that we believe are of evidentiary value in the vehicle. The investigators are still working on those cases."
30-year-old James Edward Lewis, Jr., is charged with auto burglary.
The juveniles were charged with possession of a stolen weapon and burglary tools and sent to the Rankin County Youth Facility.
Calhoun again urged citizens to not leave items of value in their vehicles.
