Tourism Director Search

A new director for tourism could soon be hired in Lauderdale County.

In July, the head of the county's tourism department, Suzy Johnson, resigned.

Since then, almost a half dozen candidates have been interviewed.

Tourism board officials say a new director could be approved within the next month.
