There were two armed robberies within fifteen minutes of each other early Tuesday morning in a Meridian neighborhood.
Both robberies happened near Magnolia Park Courts, just before 1 a.m. The second happened about fifteen minutes later.
In both cases, police say the victim was robbed by a black male wearing a black hoodie. He fled, with a second suspect driving, in a small brown car.
No one was injured in either of the robberies.
"If anything looks suspicious, don't wait for something to happen. If they can leave the area, leave the area. Pick up the phone. Call the police. Anything. We'll respond out on any calls of suspicious behavior," said Harper. "You might not know what you're looking at at first. Might not be anything to it. But just go ahead and give us a call. We'll come out and check it. And if there's nothing to it, there's nothing to it. That's what we get paid to do."
