Prentiss County Coroner Greg Sparks says two people were killed Saturday in a six-vehicle accident on the Mississippi Highway 30 bypass in northeast Mississippi.
Sparks says two other people were airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Their conditions were not available. The names of the victims also have not been released.
Sparks tells WTVA-TV that the preliminary cause of death for both individuals is multiple blunt-force trauma.
The accident is under investigation by the Mississippi Highway
