A New Mexico man is in the middle of a coast to coast walk to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer, and Sunday he walked through Meridian.
BJ Timoner has been walking all year in hopes of getting the word out about that deadly disease. Timoner has lost several members of his family to pancreatic cancer.
"75% of those diagnosed die within the first twelve months, and it's no longer tolerable," says Timoner.
"I'm taking a stand and hoping to raise awareness, and I'm hoping America will wake up to the need for research funding for this disease."
