Lauderdale County officials are asking for the public's help in locating a local man who is on the run.
Teddy Townsend is wanted by authorities in connection with a child abuse case.
Investigators say the alleged incident happened about a month ago and involved a small child.
Officials say shortly after a warrant was issued, Townsend left the area to work offshore, but is now believed to be back.
"This individual is aware of the warrants," said Sollie. "Is aware of the charge and is on the run from law enforcement. So, we ask individuals if they have knowledge of his whereabouts, please contact us so we can bring him in to justice."
