A boil water notice has been issued for residents in Southwest Meridian following a water main break on Friday.
Public works director Monty Jackson says crews working on 49th Avenue on Friday afternoon hit a line, which impacted water pressure. Jackson says crews were able to turn a leaking valve off on Saturday morning, allowing water pressure to rebuild.
Because of low water pressure, Jackson says a boil water notice has been issued for residents on 20th Street, all the way to the interstate. He says residents on 42nd Avenue, going west to Sikes Lane should boil their water as well.
Anyone with questions or concerns about the boil water notice can call 601-485-1975.
