About a dozen hooded Ku Klux Klan members rallied at the University of Mississippi before Saturday's football game with LSU.

The members of the Mississippi White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan spent about 10 minutes waving flags and displaying nazi-style salutes. Grand Titan Shane Tate of the Mississippi White Knights of the KKK says members are unhappy because Ole Miss Chancellor Dan Jones told the school band to stop playing the song, "From Dixie with Love".

"Iimagine there's gonna be some people a little upset about seeing us, and everybody's entitled to their opinion. That college is selling, selling its soul , and selling everything about getting rid of southern heritage and freedom. It's just 'Dixie,' you know. My ancestors fought and loved that song. And, and, and it's southern, that's about southern heritage..." explained Shane Tate.

Some fans had been ending the song by chanting, "The south will rise again". Chancellor Dan Jones asked the band to stop playing the song after fans ignored a request to drop the chant.

annonymous: REALITY CHECK-NAACP is a hate organization. They have made outlined hate speeches in the darkness of night. They have made open hate speeches at polling places. I'm white & I've seen it happen. QUINTA, you are right. It's all not going to matter one day. We are all going to be judged by our hearts & not one color will be showing. YES, they have the right to protest, they have the right to march. Do I agree? Not necessarily. Nor do I agree with the NAACP. I wish all the COLOR organizations would disappear, but it's just not going to happen. I thought that MANSON was crazy about a RACE WAR, but somehow he makes more sense now than when he said those words in 1969. We haven't come far from 1964 have we? It seems like there's more division than EVER! When will it ever end? I really don't think it will. Not with comments like this. And this BLACK president is HALF-WHITE. Should be something said here, huh? But it's not recognized. I'm TIRED too!

It doesn't matter whether you are white or black every student at that college is there to get an education. We are all so caught up with this racial crap until it's blinding us. We are all one nation that answer to one "GOD" despite what everyone say or feel. It's just a shame that everything is still looked at as "white" and "black". We all shall meet our maker someday, and when that day come I'm sure that he will not turn us away from his home because we are "BLACK" or "white"...... REALITY CHECK!!!!
