SCOTLAND, Ark. (AP) -- A sheriff says a tornado that ripped through the central Arkansas community of Scotland killed a woman whose home was destroyed.
Van Buren County Sheriff Scott Bradley says the woman was one of three people in the home taken apart by the Friday night storms that injured at least two dozen others across the state.
Several leveled homes, overturned cars and downed power lines were seen Saturday morning in the small community about 80 miles north of Little Rock.
Bradley says he doesn't know the extent of all the injuries, but believes everyone has been accounted for.
Several tornado sightings were reported in Arkansas on Friday night but the National Weather Service says it's still working to determine just how many tore through the state.
