It's been eleven years since a Noxubee County man along with 16 other US sailors died in a terror attack off the coast of Yemen.
Lt. Junior Grade Andrew Triplett of Noxubee County was killed when the USS Cole was bombed while refueling in the Port of Aden. A memorial service was held today in Norfolk, Virginia.
"God blessed me that day, everyone else around me was hospitalized, injured," said MCPO Paul Abney, who survived the attack, "He obviously had other things intended for me, and I want to be here for whoever I can help."
The man charged with planning the attack will be arraigned next month.
