Young Professionals to Host Candidates

The Young Professionals of Meridian is hosting a "Meet the Candidates" session on Monday, Oct. 15.

The public is invited to meet the candidates running for office in the
Nov. 6 general elections.

Gov. Haley Barbour, Republican, and his Democrat challenger, John Eaves, Jr., have been invited.

Other statewide candidates may include:
Jamie Franks and Phil Bryant (lieutenant governor)
Al Hopkins and Jim Hood (attorney general)
Delbert Hosemann and Rob Smith (secretary of state)
Lester Spell and Rickey Cole (agriculture commissioner)
Gary Anderson and Mike Chaney (insurance commissioner)
Mike Sumrall and Stacey Pickering (state auditor)
Shawn O'Hara and Tate Reeves (state treasurer)

The meet and greet will be at the Hilton Garden Inn, 111 Highway 11 & 80, Meridian, at 5 p.m. on Monday Oct. 15.
