The campaign of presidential candidate, Sen. Hillary Clinton, said she will speak Thursday at a Mississippi Democratic Party dinner in Canton, Miss.
Clinton campaign staffer Burns Strider, a Mississippi native, says there's no other place she'd rather be. The Jefferson Jackson Hamer Day Dinner is at 7:30 p.m. at the Canton Multipurpose & Equine Center.
Mississippi is the only state with presidential primaries next Tuesday.
And, former President Bill Clinton is to visit Mississippi on Friday to promote his wife's bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
The Clinton campaign said in a statement that Bill Clinton would take part in events in Hattiesburg, Meridian, and Tupelo. Specifics of each stop weren't immediately available.
A campaign staff member for Clinton's Democratic rival, Sen. Barack Obama, said Obama plans to campaign in Mississippi before the primary but plans have not been set.
