The political action committee of the National Federation of Independent Business is endorsing Republican Sen. Roger Wicker in a special election in November.
Wicker is running against former Democratic governor, Ronnie Musgrove, to fill the remaining four years of Trent Lott's unexpired term.
The organization said it based its decision on Wicker's "voting records and positions on key small business issues" and his views on legislative issues affecting small business.
Wicker was appointed to serve in the position by Gov. Haley Barbour, also a Republican, until the special election could be held Nov. 4.
