Each year, counties across the country meet to review their budgets. That time has arrived once again.
Supervisors checked each area of the budget Tuesday to see what needed adjusting. After making a few moves, the board said it believes they have a good year ahead.
"We're in good shape this year," said county administrator Mike Sumrall. "I think most of the funds are better than they were last year and the ones that we did have a few issue with we did address this year in the budget. We did pay off two different levees in the debt fund group. "
Supervisors say one of the levies that was paid off was for the courthouse and road work. The other levy was used for Hurricane Katrina.
