Beasley Asks Martin to Debate

One of the candidates in the race for Choctaw tribal chief is throwing down the gauntlet.

Challenger Beasley Denson has sent a letter to Chief Phillip Martin asking for a debate between the two before their runoff election on July 3.

Denson received about fifty more votes than the seven-term incumbent, Martin, in the general election, but he did not receive a majority.

There has been no word yet if Martin has replied to Denson.
