Mangum to Speak at Conservative Conference

A local young man with some high political aspirations will soon be speaking before a national audience.

Greg Mangum, the founder of the Young Conservative Political Coalition of America, will be speaking at the upcoming 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C.

The University of West Alabama student is scheduled to speak Friday. He says he's excited about the opportunity.

"My actual speech will be focusing on saving freedom in America," said Mangum. "But it will actually also be a speech encouraging our younger Americans to get active in politics."

The 21-year old has twice run for office, Lauderdale County supervisor, when he was still in high school, and for county election commissioner of District 5.

Now that JRS reign of error is over, I'll be glad to vote for somebody other than Ray. But it was only Ray and a few others that would dare stand up to the little tyrant.
