Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Arthur Eaves made a campaign stop in Meridian on Monday, as part of an air tour of the state.
Eaves said he wants to improve education, bring prayer back into schools, and improve medical coverage for Mississippians.
"My wife, Angel, and I are traveling around the state to remind voters how important and how critical this election is," said Eaves. "It's going to be a major decision that is going to change and impact our every day life here in Mississippi."
Eaves is being challenged in the Democratic primary by William Compton, Louis Fondren and Fred Smith.
