A state supreme court candidate paid a visit to the queen city today.
Democrat Earle S. Banks stopped by the Northeast Inn and Conference Center. Banks has been a state representative for 20 years and has also practiced law for more than 30 years. He says he's running for the state Supreme Court central district because he says the court is biased to regular working people.
"Well, in looking at the Supreme Court and looking at the decisions of the Supreme Court, it appears that there is influence that has come under the court that is biased to the regular working people, the regular type of Mississippians," Banks says.
He is running against Chief Justice Bill Waller, Jr.
