Denson Challenges Opponents to Debate

Choctaw Miko Beasley Denson has challenged his opponents to a debate on the issues.

Denson sent that challenge to Phyllis Anderson and Shirley Berg, with copies to the media. He said he's open on the terms of the debate.

Choctaw voters will go to the polls Sept. 6 to elect a new chief.

Anderson actually beat Denson in a previous election in July, but the tribal council threw out the results of that runoff and the general election June 14.
