A court hearing for a woman cited for interfering with a Meridian animal control officer over an injured dog is set for later this week.
Judy Gibbs was issued a ticket in February for allegedly interfering with an animal control officer.
Gibbs, and others, had discovered an injured dog on North Hills Street. She said she called animal control, thinking she was calling animal rescue, and then tried to stop the officer from taking the dog.
Gibbs said she wanted to take the dog to a veterinarian. But the officer refused and the dog was later euthanized.
Gibbs' hearing is set for Wednesday in Meridian Municipal Court.
