Two years ago, Republican Steven Palazzo unseated longtime Democrat Gene Taylor to win south Mississippi's 4th District congressional seat.
This year, Palazzo faces three challengers running low-budget campaigns, including a Democrat who was a late replacement for the original nominee.
Palazzo says he has been "a solid vote for Mississippi" as a member of the House Armed Services Committee.
Democrat Matthew Moore says Palazzo votes too much along party lines and ignores constituents who don't share a "right-wing, conservative viewpoint."
Also on the Nov. 6 ballot are Libertarian Ron Williams of Moss Point, who ran for governor as a Republican in 2011; and the Reform Party's Bob Claunch of Diamondhead, who ran for Congress in 1998 and state agriculture commissioner in 2003.
Palazzo and Moore both live in Biloxi. The 4th District includes Clarke, Wayne and Jasper counties.
