Work should begin soon on several projects to renovate recreation facilities in Meridian Public Schools.
The Meridian School Board Friday approved an inter-local agreement with the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors which will allow the two entities to work together to do the improvements.
"Now we go through the process of coming up with the renovation and construction projects," said superintendent Dr. Alvin Taylor. "We'll get with Supervisor Joe Norwood and start getting a plan together for what the district will be responsible for constructing and how the county board of supervisors will assist in that."
Projects are already planned at Meridian High School and Northwest Middle School.
