Funeral services for David Anthony Turner, 49, of Needham will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 2 P.M. from the Brightwater Methodist Church with Rev. James Irby and Sis. Maxine Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Brightwater Cemetery. Visitation will be at Bumpers Funeral Home on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m..

Mr. Turner passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. David was employed with Sumter Timber Company.

Survivors include his wife Susan Turner of Needham; sister Shirley Southern (Larry) of Purvis, MS; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents A.G. and Claudie Mae Turner and nephew Chris Southern.

Pallbearers are Broox Scott, Chip Gibson, Joe Miller, Danny Hearn, Reggie Jenkins, Anthony Jenkins. Honorary Pallbearers are Jasper Shirley, Bobby Leftwich, Donnie Thornton, Sambo Robinson, Travis Jenkins, and Terry Land.
