Services for Ms. Una Johnson Hamil will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Sebastopol. Rev. Reggie Williams will officiate with burial in Demascus Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol. Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol in charge of the arrangements.
Ms. Una Johnson Hamil, a retired school teacher, age 97, died September 1, 2010 in Morton.

She is also survived by 11 nieces and 1 nephew, a host of great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Ms. Hamil is preceded in death by one sister, Nola Peoples; and 5 brothers, Joe, Roy, Douglas, Buck, and Leo Johnson.
Ms. Una J. Hamil was born August 4, 1913 to the late Oscar and Willie Mae Johnson. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Carthage and taught school for 43 years. Ms. Hamil starting teaching in Scott County with Ringgold and Sebastopol before teaching at Carthage in Leake County.
