Services for Mrs. Sue Joyce Graham Hollingsworth will be held 11 am, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy McDill and Rev. Tommy Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Sue Joyce Graham Hollingsworth, 78 , of Meridian, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hollingsworth was a lifelong resident of Little Rock, Mississippi but had resided in Meridian for the past two years. She was a graduate of Meridian Junior College School of Nursing, and spent her nursing career at Rush Hospital in Meridian and Laird Hospital in Union.
She was a loving wife to Mr. Thomas J. Hollingsworth, Sr. for 60 years and a precious mother to their five children. She was also a sweet grandmother to twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was a wonderful cook, known throughout the community for her superb Sunday lunches. She was also an avid fan of Southern Gospel Music.
Mrs. Hollingsworth is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Hollingsworth, Sr, one son, Jeff Hollingsworth (Deanie) of Collinsville, three daughters, Shelia Tucker (Jim) of Meridian, Karen White (Randy) of Little Rock and Kay Evans (Greg) of Newton, and one sister, Myrtice Brady Nicholson of Kosciusko.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram Ansley Graham and Myrtle Williamson Graham, her brothers, Selma Thomas Graham, Joseph Clyde Graham and Alvis Devon “Monkey” Graham, two sisters, Helen Marie Graham and Byrtice May Graham and her oldest daughter, Belinda Fay Droddy.
Pallbearers: Her grandsons, Anthony White, Shawn White, Chris Boney, Matt Tucker, Trenton Evans and Gage Hollingsworth.
Vistiation will be 5pm-8pm, Monday, September 6, 2010 at Milling Funeral Home of Union.
