Services for Ms. Louise Porter Howle will be held 10 am, Saturday, April 4th, at Union United Methodist Church with Rev. Len McRaney officiating. Burial will be in Union City cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Howle, 88, of Union, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at her residence.
Ms. Howle was a member of Union United Methodist Church. She was an advid Bridge player and enjoyed playing the piano. She had a great love for dogs and her favorite was her last dog, Pedro.
Survivors include: One Aunt: Maurine Nokes
Cousins: Carroll Rials, Jimmy Rials, Betty Pryor, Betty Jo London, Allen Hardin, Don Hardin, Gary Hardin, and Lucy Rambo
She was survived by special friends: Dixie Adkins, Richard “Bus” Chambliss, Porter Adkins, Jack and Janelle Armstrong and their family. Caretakers: Marie Edwards, Fay Ethridge, Donna Rash, Aileen Turner, and Cheryl Johnson
She is preceded in death by husbands, Judge L.B. Porter and Coloniel Paul Howle.
Pallbearers: Jack Armstrong, III, Russell Armstrong, Dr. Bill Adkins, Bob Adkins,Porter Adkins, and Ross Price
Honorary Pallbearers: Mark Herrington, Dr. L.B. Adkins, Dr. J.G. Alexander, Jack Armstrong, Jr., Mike Driskell , Lester Ridgon, Harold Carleton, Bobby Freeman, and Buddy Langley.
Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Friday, April 3 at the funeral home.
