Mr. L.D. “Duvall” Rigdon, of Union, 80, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at St. Dominic’s Hospital.
Services for Mr. Rigdon were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3 at Pinckney Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev.'s Kevin Meador and Mike Thompson officiated. Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of the arrangements.

Wife of 61 years: Mrs. Roberta Rigdon

2 Daughters: Brenda Pierce and husband Earl of Union Betty Horton and husband Eddie of Spring Hill, TN

2 Sons: Berwyn Rigdon and wife Cynthia of Union Lenon Rigdon and wife Christine of Union

3 Sisters: Verna McDade of Nashville, TN Lavonia Russell of Little Rock, MS Alfa Gilmore of Pearl, MS

2 Brothers: Denver Rigdon of Union, MS Darwin Rigdon of Pearl,MS

9 Grandchildren

Preceded in death by 1 Grandchild Alisa Rigdon and two sisters.

He was a member of Pinckney Baptist Church and the Pinckney Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star.

Pallbearers were Randy Harvey, Johnny McMullan, Perry Luke, Terry Tullos, Harry Chamblee, and Tommy Tucker.

Honorary Pallbearers were the Men’s Sunday School Class of Pinckney Baptist Church and Alvin Moore.
