AMBROUS MILLER, age 62, of York, Alabama, also known as "Bone", born to S. L. and Violet Miller, passed June 2, 2009 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center, Meridian, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from Eastern Star Baptist Church in the Grant City Community of York, with Rev. Charles H. Delaine, pastor, delivering the eulogy and Sis. Georgia Johnson serving as Mistress Of Order. Mr. Miller will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Home Mission Cemetery, off of the Millville Road, also in York. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Friday (June 5th) from 3-6:00 P.M. at the WEATHERLY FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL. On Saturday morning at 10:40 a.m. the funeral cortege will leave from 310 Virginia Avenue.
Those left to cherish precious memories are: a loving mother, Mrs. Violet Miller of York, Alabama; two sons; Ambrous Jr., and Marcus Miller of York, Ala., three sisters, Shirley Thomas and Sharon Miller, both of York, Ala., and Eunice (Roland) Mitchell, Virginia Beach, Va; five brothers- Charlie Miller, Elgin, Ill., Thomas (Dorothy) Miller, Elgin, Ill; Johnny (Betty) Miller, York, Ala., Frank (Jean) Miller, Livingston, Ala., and Joe Frank Rogers, Philadelphia, Pa; one aunt, Sebelle Rodgers, Ward, Ala., three granddaughters- Markaryali Alecia Miller, Emaya Simone Pickett and Billaysia Iyanah McCorkle; six step-children, Kimberly Drummond, Annette, Veronica, Ida, Sandra and Clinton Moore, Jr., many extended family members, a very special friend, Zina Rodgeway and family, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
