Services for Mrs. Bertha Blackwell Ward will be held, 2 pm, Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus Finch, Rev. Reggie Williams, and Rev. Jimmy McDill officiating. Burial in the church cemetery beside her husband of 56 years who preceded her in death by 25 years. Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ward, 96, of Carthage, died Monday, July 6, 2009, at Leake Memorial Extended Care Facility in Carthage, Ms.

Five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, two step daughters and one step son.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Grady A. Blackwell and Colon Ward, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
