Bobby Johnson

Mr. Bobby Johnson, 69, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Jeff Anderson Regional Hospital in Meridian.
Services for Mr. Bobby Johnson will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. in Decatur United Methodist Church with burial in Decatur City Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Crosby & Rev. Bruce Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2009 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home of Union. Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include: Loving Wife of 48 ½ years: Lucy Johnson of Decatur 1 Daughter: Shirly Pardee and husband Tommy of Portales, New Mexico 1 Son: Gary Johnson and wife Janice of Tonopah, Nevada 4 Grandchildren: Kayleigh and husband Sammy; Forrest; Johannah; and Travis Honorary Granddaughter: Lindsey Salter

Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents Ossie and Mary Johnson, five brothers, and one sister.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Decatur UMC parsonage building fund.

He was a member of the Decatur Evergreen Atkins Lodge # 266 in Bossier Parish, LA. He spent 20 years in the U.S. Military and was also a member of the Decatur United Methodist Church. He loved working with his hands, wood working, metal detecting, working with leather, fishing, and camping. His favorite pastime was traveling as he was very adventurous.

Pallbearers will be Brian Frink, Travis Pardee, Scott Johnson, Ed Tindal, Asa Tindal, and Rodney Rideout.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Quinn, Buddy Massey, Bernard Rigdon, Fred Allgood, Trent Rideout, and Joe Elgin.
