YORK, Ala. – Services for Richard Mallard Walker will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home with Rev. Malcolm Lewis and Don Hardin officiating. Burial will be in Clay Memorial Cemetery in Cuba with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.Mr. Walker, 71, of Cuba, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at his residence.Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Walker, of Cuba; two sons, Wade Walker, of McComb, Miss., and Bruce Walker of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.; three grandchildren, Neil Glasscock, Lane Walker, and Marshall Walker; two brothers, Bob Walker, of Orlando, Fla., and Bill Walker, of Tavares, Fla.; one sister, June Truelove, of Cuba; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Lana Finney and Fleming Tartt.Pallbearers will be Todd Bryan, John Walker, Bruce Thrash, James H. McElroy, Wesley Hurtt, and Mark Stallings.Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Gross, Buddy McElroy, Don Wilborn, Dan Campbell, John York, and Chester Pugh.Visitation will be today, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home in York.
