Alline Williams

Funeral Services for Alline Morgan Williams were held Saturday, August 01, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church with the Reverend John West officiating. Burial was in the Good Hope Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Williams, 86, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at her residence. She was a native of Lavaca, Ala., but had resided in the Good Hope Community for the past 71 years. She was a dear and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved working in her flower beds, crocheting, an old gray cat named, Spanky, and cooking, and spending time with her family. Above all, Mrs. Williams was a child of God. She was the oldest living member of Good Hope Baptist Church where she enjoyed worshipping with her extended family.

Welcoming her home to Heaven, are her husband of 59 ½ years, Joseph Hubert Williams, her parents, C. Lawrence and Mamie T. Morgan, her brother, Sanders Lawrence Morgan, and her sister, Nettie Morgan Reeves, and her grandchildren, Kerry Joseph Williams, and Brenda Carol Williams.

Left to cherish her memory are her seven children: Rilla W. (Charles) Knowles; Patsy W. (Charles) Gressett; L. Ray Williams; Richard H. (Alice) Williams; Anita W. (Larry) Turner; Glenda W. (Wayne) McKinion; and Randy W. Williams; a devoted daughter-in-law, Fannie Ruth Williams; and her brother, Austin Lavelle Morgan; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were: Joe Knowles, Duane Gressett, Michael Williams, Chris Turner, Brad Foley, and Wallace Griffith.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Hope Baptist Church, 4032 Hickory Fellowship Road, Hickory, Miss. 39332
