Mary Jenkins Weir, age 103, of Garlandville, MS died on Tuesday 8/25/2009 at the Bruce Community Living Center in Bruce, MS. A Graveside service will be held at the Newton Masonic Cemetery on Friday 8/28/2009 at 10:00am. James F. Webb of Newton, MS is in charge of arrangements. 601-683-2152.
Mrs. Weir was married to the late Mr. Selby Weir, Sr. for over fifty years. They were residents of Garlandville, MS all of their married life. Mrs. Weir was a member of Garlandville Methodist Church.

Survivors include: 2 sons, Selby Weir, Jr. (Vida) of Bruce, MS and Sam Weir (Darlene) of Hickory, MS; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Selby Weir, Sr.; a daughter, Sandra O’Neil and a grandchild, Mike Weir.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Thursday, 8/27/2009 at James F. Webb Funeral Home in Newton, MS from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Garlandville Methodist Church in Garlandville, MS.
