Funeral services for James Hubert Hollingsworth will be held Wednesday, December 02, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Hilton Moore officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in Newton in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hollingsworth, 68, of Decatur, died Monday, November 30, 2009 at his home. He was a retired employee of Clarke Memorial College in Newton, and was a banjo player with the Bluegrass Travelers.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Marie G. Hollingsworth; his son, David E. (Leanne) Hollingsworth of Union; his daughter: Sheila (Matt) Bender of Decatur; his mother: Inez Hollingsworth of Decatur; his grandchildren: Tyler and Zach Hollingsworth, and Cody and Casey Bender; three sisters: Sally (Billy) Green of Decatur; Jackie (Wadell) Everett of Hickory; Ina (Larry) Mazingo of Union; four brothers: Melvin (Diane) Hollingsworth of Decatur; Mack Hollingsworth of Decatur; Jerry Lee (Donna) Hollingsworth of Tishamingo; Robert (Janice) Hollingsworth of Eupora; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and bluegrass friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Janie Brady; his father: Chester Hollingsworth; his grandparents, Millage and Maud Hollingsworth and Willie and Bessie Mayes.
Pallbearers will be: Aaron Kelly, Wesley Mayes, Brent Mayes, Kent Mayes, Wendell Boutwell, and Ronnie Grantham.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Orman “Pug” Kea, Red Fryer, and Jack Aycock.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 01, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
