Curtis DeWayne Croom, age 45, born to the late Bertha Mae Tolliver and James L. Glover, Sr., passed January 4, 2010 at 9:00 p.m. in University Hospital, Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m from Grants Chapel CME
Church, Cuba, Alabama. Rev. Izea Blanks, pastor, will deliver the eulogy. Interment follows in Cagus Cemetery. Mr. Croom will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Visitation is from 3-6:00 p.m. Friday evening (Jan.8th) at the Weatherly Chapel. The funeral cortege will leave the family residence, located 604 Waters Street, Cuba, Alabama at 10:40 a.m.
Those left to cherish memories are: his wife, Hazel Diane Croom, Cuba, Alabama; four children; Shundreka D. Croom, Curtis D. Croom, Jr., and Tanya R. (Antonio) Lake, all of Cuba, Alabama and Kimberly Hodges, Meridian, Ms; thirteen (13) sisters and brothers- Patrick (Carolyn) Cunningham, Michael (Tawanda) Glover, Maurice Glover, James Earl Brown, Kelvin Brown and Quincy (Katie) Horn, all of York, Alabama, James (Demetria) Glover, Jr., Fayetteville, N.C., Gwendolyn Brown and Lekesia Brown, both of Dallas, Tx., Sheila (Alvin) Samuels, Rhonda (Quentin) Sturdivant and Markelous Brown, all of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jeremy Brown, Fort Lee, Va; his siblings, Parrie Glover and James Lewis Croom preceded him in death; he is furthur survived by--his grandmother, Parrie Lee Henderson, York, Ala., numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
