Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. , on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Pouncey and Rev. Robert Rowzee officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Newton County Funeral Home South, 100 Old Highway 15 Loop, Newton, MS is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Williams, 59, of Newton, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. A favorite past time was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a retired employee of ESCO where he worked almost 35 years. He attended Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, and was a member of the Northeast Jasper Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents: C. E. "Chub" and Lucile Reynolds Williams, and his father-in-law, Buddy May.
Survivors include: his wife; Cindy May Williams, Newton; his daughter: Karen (James) Williams, Hickory; his grandchildren: Wesley Williams, and Carlee Bess Williams, both of Hickory; his brothers: Lamar (Retha) Williams, Seminary, and Ray (Ruby) Williams, Newton; his sisters: Faye Ethridge, and Helen (Bill) Boulton, both of Newton; his mother-in-law: Emma Lee May, Newton; his sister-in-laws: Sue (Larry) Dramer, Pearl; Sheila (Jimmy) Heard, Bay Springs; his special friends: Henry (Martha) Sibley, Newton, and Kevin (Lauren) Pierce, Hickory; and several nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be: Dan Walker, Milton Reynolds, Gaines Wrotten, Brian Chaney, Pete Roberts, and Jeff Sullivan.
