Funeral Services for Ms. Marcella Rousseau George, age 90, will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 12 P.M. from the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home in York with Rev. Jack White officiating. Burial will follow in the Brewersville Cemetery in Coatopa. Visitation will be from 10 until 12 prior to the service.
Marcella Rousseau George, a former long-time resident of the Livingston area, passed away on Saturday the 20th of February at Emery Eastside Hospital in Georgia.
Born March 22, 1919 in Quebec, Canada, Marcella was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Lovingly called “Mammy” by her family, Marcella accepted Christ as her Savior early in life and was a proud member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of over 50 years, John H. George and by a daughter, Wanda George. She is survived by her other daughter, Sandie George Winfrey of Georgia; her grandchildren: Angela Pendergrass, Shannon Paschal, Landra Stewart Day, Shana Norrell, Alana Adams, Amanda Damron and J.B. DuTeau; 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews from the George, Rousseau, Neuhauser & Stephens families; all brought her great joy through the years.
Memorials may be made to the Livingston Church of Christ, 704 North Washington Street, Livingston, Alabama 35470.
